lyrics

Last words for the departed
empty-handed and broken-hearted
your love is forever past
your life forever gone
what once was is now no more
and dusk has replaced the dawn

Oh in dark caverns have we woven
rivulets of sorrow, pain, and regret
lost love, lost life
lost hope, lost chances
the guillotine of fate
is flecked with past romances

Oh to burrow in this blood-soaked earth
to feel the acrid sting
to ache with broken lungs
and mouth clogged with clay
to hand in our tickets
and through rolling windows
see the wolf howl in vain
as he falls behind in darkened thickets

I have ten tickets
as I have ten toes
as I have two feet
made for running
and should the coals run out
and the embers die
then burn up my feet
and if my feet stop running
then burn up my legs
and if my legs grind down
my cock should last a good while
and when that fails
my belly will churn
and when the churning is done
my lungs shall serve to fill the bellows
and when the bellows are full of burning flame
my heart should fuel the coals again
and when my heart has beat its last
the screaming of my voice should add a blast
and when my throat runs dry
I might cut through with intensity of eye
and when my eye goes dark
my brain should be enough to feed to feed the flame
with all its windings and bindings,
secret passages and hidden pockets
oh you would lick my mind
one thought at a time
and the light would invade
every furry crevasse, and every furry nook

And the light would be lost
in my curvilinear foldings-
an endless labyrinth
aeons would be spent in the exploration
of my serpent-addled brain
could even you escape?
I think not
and therefore I am not
and neither art thou
shall we spend eternity
in a parasitic dance?
my ventricles are as endless
as your tentacles
and I am in ecstasy
in the persuasiveness of your probings
and your are mad
with the intricacies of my windings
blood-plumes spread across universes
while the micro-universal entrails ring

Last words for the departed
